The Paladin family unveils a new creation destined to win over lovers of traditional sweets and enthusiasts of local excellence: the first Agricanto Panettone is born, a completely original take on the most iconic holiday cake, enriched with a generous dose of the renowned Venetian liqueur, in its purest form.
Agricanto, created in 1994 from an idea of Valentino Paladin, the founder of what is today the Casa Paladin wine group, is a unique blend of Raboso wine, fine grappa, cherry juice and almonds. With a rich, contemporary, and surprising taste, it stands out for its aromatic profile of notes of morello cherry, cinnamon, spices, and almond.
A versatile liqueur, it is a star ingredient in mixology and increasingly in gourmet pastry. After celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024, Agricanto now becomes the main ingredient of a Panettone designed to offer consumers a new, fragrant and delicious sensory experience.
Agricanto Panettone is the result of a 72-hour production process, 48 hours of which are dedicated to natural rising with sourdough starter that has been refreshed daily for over 60 years. After baking and the traditional “upside-down” cooling, the Panettone is enriched with pure Agricanto, which gives it an intense aroma and an immediately recognizable flavor. For a balanced but delicious flavor, only the finest ingredients are used: eggs from Italian free-range hens, sourdough starter, fresh milk from Veneto and Friuli, butter made from fresh cream, fine Domori dark chocolate, and, of course, Agricanto, the Venetian Liqueur by Paladin.
The result is a soft, aromatic Panettone with a modern personality, perfectly balanced between the sweetness of the dough and the complexity of the liqueur.
The packaging is inspired by the vibrant colors of Agricanto, deep blue and bright orange, and is a tribute to Venice. The profile of the lagoon is surmounted by a rose window, a reference to the decorative elements of 15th-century Venetian churches, which also inspired the iconic bottle label.
