Benbecula Distillery unveils 2026 private cask offering
Limited release offers the opportunity to acquire a cask of Benbecula’s ‘Spirit of the Hebrides’ and become part of the journey with an emerging Scotch whisky name
1 July 2026 – Benbecula Distillery in the Outer Hebrides has unveiled its private cask offering, allowing a limited number of whisky enthusiasts to own a cask of its Hebridean spirit and become part of the distillery’s early story.
The new release reflects the widely recognised impact of the distillery and its distinctive highly anticipated single malt.
Angus MacMillan, Founder and Managing Director of Benbecula Distillery, said:
“Owning a cask at Benbecula is about much more than the whisky in the warehouse. It is a connection to the distillery, the people making this whisky, and the islands themselves.
Our ambition is to create one of the most distinctive and sought-after contemporary single malts. Benbecula has the character, provenance and the people to become a significant name in the industry – this offering gives the exclusive opportunity to become a part of that journey.”
Curated by renowned Master Distiller Brendan McCarron, the limited collection includes Manzanilla, Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso hogsheads, and 2nd-fill Bourbon barrels, all selected to enhance Benbecula’s bold new make spirit defined by Hebridean smoke, blackcurrant, floral notes and an enticing coastal flavour.

Every private cask owner becomes a member of the Benbecula Comunn, with benefits including seven years of insured storage, a bottle from Benbecula’s inaugural release, lifetime distillery access, private events, priority access to selected releases and permanent recognition on the distillery’s Cask Owner Wall.
