The eighteen-year-old expression of Highland Park takes all the elements that are found in the twelve year old and polishes them into a supremely smooth, harmonious dram.
So you find a rich malty note blending easily into a mix of dried fruits and nuts, which gives way to the tang of sherry, before a subtle sweet smoke drifts in and then out again, leaving you back at the full-bodied malty core of the whisky, except that now you can see it is subtly leavened with each of the other flavour notes.
It’s no surprise that such a sophisticated, complex whisky has been repeatedly chosen as “Best Whisky in the World” at many shows around the world.
A meditation malt.
