Willie Wonka meets Heston Blumenthal
What happens when you cross a heritage-fuelled brewery, Harveys, with the chef from a restaurant less than a year old, in this case 64 Degrees? Or world class sparkling winemakers Ridgeview with the man behind the stove at heat-infused eaterie, The Chilli Pickle?
Be among the first to taste the results of these unusual alliances at Brighton & Hove Food & Drink Festival’s newest event, Food Lab, on Sunday 14 September.
Back in late July, leading local producers were randomly paired up with some of Brighton’s finest chefs, and challenged to come up with a drink, dish or product which fuses the best of both worlds.
Other off-the-wall partnerships include Blackdown Sussex Spirits and Jeremy’s Restaurant, chocolatiers Cocoa Loco with ice cream-maker extraordinaire, Boho Gelato, La Cave à Fromage with Salon de Thé, and Terre à Terre with Small Batch Coffee Company.
Who knows what we might find. Only time – and you – will tell.
