One of London's recent success stories, Sambrook's, came into being in 2008 when ex-City accountant Duncan Sambrook teamed up with with former Ringwood Brewery MD, David Welsh, setting up shop in a light industrial unit between Clapham and Battersea.

Brewing a range of beers, all are named after local landmarks. The original duo were Wandle, named after the nearby river, and Junction, named after Britain's busiest local station.

A tour here brings you close to the action, allowing you a chance to spend time with one of London's new breed of brewers, before heading into its recently opened Boadicea Bar.

Eco-friendly initiatives

  • Recycling – the spent malt grains go off to local farmers for cattle feed and the hop leaves for fertiliser
