Waulkmill Cider, sat in luscious countryside between Langholm and Eskdalemuir, prides itself on being a truly Scottish enterprise, producing cider that is grown, picked and fermented in Dumfries and Galloway. They produce still cider, apple juice, and most recently cider vinegar, all from several Scottish apple varieties blended with local crab apples and traditional cider apples.

If you pay a visit you’ll be able to hear the owners’ plans to promote more Scottish apple varieties by planting orchards, hear about the history-steeped local area - Waulkmill itself is an original mill that once played a role in the local textile industry, while remains of prehistoric stone circles and Bronze Age forts can be visited – and see the cider making process in full flow.
