Not long now until Brighton & Hove kick off their Autumnal celebrations of all that's fun in food and drink. And you can join in. Whether it's fab ales, tasty ciders, new age gin or serious sparklers, the Festival helps you get to taste some of the region's finest produce.

Always fun, always tasty, below are a few of my highlights. To catch up with all the events, head to the comprehensive Brighton & Hove Food Festival website to see what takes your fancy.

Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Beer & Music Festival 2013

25 October 2013 - 27 October 2013

The heritage railway line that featured in the 1970 classic film The Railway Children, is once again hosting a Beer and Music Festival, writes Greg Richards.

Catch a train anywhere on the five-mile route of Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and you will find a selection of beers available, as well as many musical acts playing throughout the day.

The main bar, located at Oxenhope, will be serving 120 real ales, sourced from nearly 40 different breweries. There's a second bar at Keighley, while Copper Dragon, Timothy Taylor's and Old Spot breweries will all be running their own bars.
